DRESS CODE

Ballet Program

Girls    Pink Tights, Pink Ballet Technique shoes, and Ballet Leotard *color designated below*

            Hair Pulled back into a tight clean bun.

            NO tutus, shirts, shorts, pants, legwarmers, jewelry, etc. are to be worn with your dance attire

           Creative Ballet and Pre Ballet may wear a skirt with their leotard. 

           Ballet levels 1-4, when proper alignment is taught and emphasized to progress, we ask                                            no shorts or skirts are worn over the tights and leotard.

           Hip alignment belts are recommended and highly encouraged for dancers. These belts are an excellent             way for the young dancer to have a visual of the desired hip alignment.

 

            Ballet V and up may wear a wrap ballet skirt.

 

Boys   White or black leotard or t-shirt, black tights, dance belt, white or black socks and black technique                      shoes.

 

Adults  Recommended to wear tights and a leotard (skirts, sweaters, etc allowed), but may wear whatever                      you are comfortable taking class in.

Contemporary/Lyrical, Jazz, and Tap Classes

Attire:     Any Dance-wear that is FITTED.

 

Hair:       Pulled back securely, in a ponytail or bun, away from face.

 

Shoes:

Contemporary/Lyrical

Contemporary 1, 2, and Preteen Contemporary:  Ballet Technique shoe, Tan contemporary shoes, or foot undeez. Requirements for performance will be decided in January.

 

Contemporary 3, 4, and 5:  Foot undeez, high cotton content socks, or barefeet. Requirements for performance will be decided in January.

Jazz

Pre Jazz, Jazz 1, 2, 3, and Preteen Jazz: Tan or Black Jazz shoes. Requirements for performance will be decided in January.

Jazz 4 and 5: Tan or black jazz shoes, high cotton content socks, or barefeet. Requirements for performance will be decided in January.

 

Tap

Creative tap: Mary Jane tap shoes

 

Tap 1-4: Black oxford tap shoes

~Highly recommended Tap 2 and up have taps that are attached with screws that can be loosened by the instructor.
