Simple Sugars

DO YOU LIKE SUGAR? DO YOU FEED YOUR FAMILY SUGAR? ANYTHING ENDING IN ‘OSE’ IS A SUGAR. BECOME A LABEL READER. HERE ARE VERY GOOD REASONS TO AVOID SIMPLE SUGARS:

  • Sugar can suppress the immune system.

            Is your family prone to illness?

  • Sugar can cause difficulty with concentration and promote hyperactivity and anxiety.

           Does your child have more energy than they can handle?
           Does your child have unexplained mood swings?

  • Sugar can upset the mineral balance in the body.

           A mineral imbalance causes susceptibility to illness and when active causes injury.

  • Sugar can produce a rise in your triglycerides and a decrease in your good cholesterol, leading to decreased health.

            Triglycerides are the ‘fat’ found in your blood. Do you have high cholesterol?

  • Sugar can feed cancer growth.
  • Sugar contributes to the reduction in defense against bacterial infections.

           The less sugar your body takes in, the more defense your body has to fight against                       infections.

  • Too much sugar can lead to a chromium deficiency.

           Chromium helps digest our food
           Chromium helps to build muscle and burn fat
           Chromium slows the loss of calcium

  • Sugar can cause hypoglycemia.

           Hypoglycemia is low blood sugar. It occurs when the level of sugar, or glucose, in the

           blood drops too low to fuel the body.

  • Sugar can produce an acidic digestive tract.

           Acidic digestive tract can be any of the following; heartburn, indigestion, gastroesophageal

           reflux disease (GERD) or acid reflux.
